                                Paper bag waist: The new pants trend for the summer


Once again street style has made us to adopt the new fashion trend for the summer which is the paper bag waist; our waist looks thinner, slimmer, and the outfit is extra stylish (even if you are wearing a simple pair of trousers).
Paper bag waist has to do with the way when we strain our trousers while wearing the belt, as a result generating the paper bag effect.

I love this new trend; I have adopted it for the office and as well on casual Fridays (I am allowed to wear my favourite pair of jeans).

You can as well try the same trend with your shorts and sweatpants; combining with white T-Shirt, with cropped top, two colours either black and white or black and blue which is very nice as well, whatever you prefer:

                              The Best and Worst Fruits to put in your smoothie


Sure, smoothie is a perfect meal in the morning especially before busting out that early workout (in case you are). But a smoothie is only as useful as its ingredients. Better know which fruit to add so as to be aware of the difference between fat-burning booster or blood sugar disaster.

The good fruit:

Strawberries: Yummy, contain 5 grams of sugar per 100 grams of fruit; useful in regulating blood sugar, thus preventing storing fat.






Blueberries: Helps the body break down brown fat; low sugar content; just 7.3 grams per 100 grams of fruit.





The half-decent fruit

Raspberries: contain calcium therefore are good little metabolism boosters; contain 9.5 grams per 100 grams.










Kiwi Fruit: Full of Vitamin C and fiber but better use them in small amounts since they contain 10.5 grams of sugar per 100 grams.




The bad fruit:

Grapes: are sweet so are full of sugar; contain 15 grams of it per 100 gram; but they do contain a large amount of bone boosting vitamin K.



Mangoes: contain 10 grams per 100 grams of sugar so better use them sparingly; great source of vitamins A and C though.

                                   The Best and Worst Foods for Flat Abs

Beat belly bloat long before it happens by learning which healthy foods and guilty.


Best Food: Plain or Greek Yogurt

Ok, yogurt is good for us, but it's also good for maintaining our flat abs. Nutritionists say to reach for the kind that's plain flavoured or Greek; the probiotic bacteria in most yogurts help keep your digestive system healthy. As a result we have lower incidence of gas, bloating, and constipation and thus your tummy looks flat.





Worst Food: Soda

Avoid all carbonated beverages; gassy drinks fill our bellies with air, causing the stomach to look distended and bloated. Instead, aim for water of calorie-free beverages rich in antioxidants (which decrease inflammation which may be linked with increased abdominal fat storage), such as green tea.




Best Food: Cruciferous Vegetables

Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, asparagus, peppers, yellow beans, which contain vitamins A,C, and K, as well as folate, beta-carotene, calcium, magnesium, and fiber.




Worst Food: Refined Carbs

Stay away from white flours and white rice because they get digested very quickly, causing spikes in both insulin and blood levels. Therefore this increased level of insulin in our body can promote increased fat storage in the abdominal area.



Best Food: Whole Grains

Set aside the white bread and rice and swap them in for whole grains such as 100% whole wheat bread, lentils and brown rice. A recent study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that a calorie-controlled diet rich in whole grains trimmed extra fat from the waistline of obese subjects.



Worst Foods: Salty Foods

Don't you just feel extra bloated after eating sushi with a lot of soy sauce and wondering why? Eating foods high in sodium can lead to fluid retention and therefore caused our belly to look puffier and bloating, masking your flat abs. Aim to consume less that 2000 mg of sodium per day.



Best Foods: Monounsaturated Fats

New research indicates that a diet high in monounsaturated fats like olive oil can help us lose some of that belly fat, even without changing calorie intake or adding in additional exercise.




Best Foods: Vinegar

A Japanese study found the substance that gives vinegar its sour taste and strong odor might fight fat. The Study found that people who consumed 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar daily for 12 weeks  had significantly lower body weight, BMI, visceral (belly) fat, and waist circumference than the control group that didn't consume any vinegar. And most probably according to researchers this may due to vinegar's acetic acid, which may switch on genes that pump out proteins that break down fat.

                                       9 Foods that I have in my fridge

Spinach: You can add it in a smoothie , on tomato sauce, in your burger or you just eat it as a salad base. It's cheap, ease to cook and very good for your health.



Natural peanut butter: Great source of lean protein and fat you can put it out almost everywhere.






Lemons: I layer them every morning in my water.







Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt is an excellent probiotic source and protein and has minimum amount of sugar. You can add it in your nutrition in various ways - perfect base for a quick snack, mayonnaise's' substitute or other fatty sauce, or even just plain yogurt between meals.






Hummus: You can use it many different ways such as preferably in a bagel with salmon or in an egg salad instead of mayonnaise, on roasted potatoes instead of butter, or even on your spaghetti sauce to have a creamy result.




Eggs: Eggs are full of high quality of protein and is very easy to include them in your nutrition. I like to make omelettes with a whole egg or 2 or 3 whites. And I always keep some boiled eggs for snack or as side dish for breakfast.




Broccoli: As a side dish on dinner; I prefer it grilled.





Berries: I love them.










Avocado: Add on breakfast, as a snack and on main meals. I never get bored of eating it; it is one of the most healthy, makes you feel full and lean foods.

We all know that in order to have a healthy relationship there should be an effort from both side, mutual understanding and retreats as well as real and effective conversations with our partners. But although sometimes you are really trying to reduce differences and problems it's just not good enough to function correctly the relationship. Below are 4 signs that show you that your partner might not be the one and only for you and your relationship cannot further continue:

  • You don't feel anymore your self
Your personality and those things that make you unique and special have being reduced or banished completely. Unfortunately this happen to most of the relationships and even gradually without realising it. Our partner often tries to ''control' us or critics us something he claims a love attitude and concern. Therefore this make us by time to loose our self and comes a time that we do not recognize our own self. But this does not mean that he is to blame 100%. We cause it as well from our wrong concept of love as 'sacrifice' which is wrong and not as mutual concessions from both side, which is the correct way.
  • You keep trying to prove your worthiness
This is bad trying to prove your worthiness to the outside world and most of us women do it. But if you are trying to prove your worthiness in your relationship well something is definitely wrong. Trying to get his support of fulfilling your dreams, you barely talk about your self, you are feeling invisible, you partner does not listen to you carefully. Of course, it is not your partners' task to make you feel ''good enough'' but it is his obligation to create a safe place to make your best version of yourself ( to develop your self); And in no circumstance should your relationship make you feel invisible.
  • You feel like you are just an observer in your relationship
Going out together, going to the movies, having dinner, you will always remember the important dates, you will always buy a nice gift for your partner but again you feel like something is missing. The relationship is based on the routine and not on your passion. And if you feel like your partner is to blame for then you should stop planning a marriage since it is not meant to be together.
  • You have ''broken up'' with your self
At some point you stopped your relationship with your self; You believed that if you change yourself you could have done much goodness in you relationship. The result though is not that you have expected; You and your needs are out of the picture and this is more than enough to realise that your relationship is doing you harm rather than good and that will never work.

                         8 ways to have 500 calories intake per day (without exercise)

  1. Make your sandwich a salad
 2 big slices of bread with mayonnaise are about 550 calories

    2. Choose black coffee

A medium cup of latte without added sugar has 220 calories, while a cup of black coffee (without milk or sugar) has only 2 calories. If you drink 2 cups of coffee with sweeteners, you will save yourself from minimum 500 calories

  3. Chew more slowly

Chew every bite twice as u usually do it will make you feel fuller with less flood.  Studies have shown that in this way you can will eat less 100-200 calories in each meal; this mean 400 calories less in sum.

  4. Drink water with lemon instead of soda when you are thirsty

In this way you will save your self from 200 calories of each refreshment you were consuming. Replace these three beverages per day and you will have in sum 300 calories intake less.

  5. Prepare your meals at home

Home made food is much healthier than ''take out''. A 2014 research showed that people who were cooking their dinner at home were consuming 140 calories less than those eating out or ordering delivery food. Make your own breakfast and lunch at home and you will gain 500 calories intake less.

  6. Do not stand still

According to Mayo Clinic study people who were ''buzzing about'' within the day consumed 350 calories more than their colleagues who spent their day sitting all day in their office.

  7. Ask the waiter to pack half of your lunch/meal of food that you have ordered before serve

In this way you will save 750 calories in average. Studies have shown that a typical meal from American, Chinese or Italian restaurant contains around 1,500 calories, much more than you actually need from just one meal.

  8. Replace rips with sirloin

You will save yourself around 700 calories intake, while choosing mignon filet you will save 450.

  9. Put down the fork while eating

''Shifting'' you meals, it will allow you to consume 300 calories less intake in a meal, according to the Journal of the American Dietetic Association research. Within the day, you will reach 500 calories intake.

  10. Sleep 7-8 hours

You will have at least 300 calories less intake. Researches show that luck of sleep not only reduces your metabolism but also increases your appetite of consuming sweets. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition Study has shown that people who slept 4 hours, have consumed 300 calories more that those who have slept more. Most probably people that sleep more are exercising, something that will help them burning approximately 200 calories.

  11. Workout before breakfast, and don't eat before 7 p.m.

This combination will save yourself 520 calories intake. A Japanese research found that working out before breakfast we metabolize 280 calories more within the day in compare those who work out in the night. Another reason to start exercising.


  12. Do not dip bread in the oil when you are at the restaurant

In fact is better to avoid the bread in general because it won't take down your hunger; plus it will make you consume with more calories intake.

  13. Eating in front of a mirror

Journal of the Association for Consumer Research has published a research that people who were watching themselves eating, have chosen the most healthy meal and rewarded with 400 calories less intake. Guilty perhaps?

  14. Variety on you walking pace

Include small and fast ''explosions'' on your daily walk and burn 20% more calories. This only means that 1 hour walking helps you easily burn between 90 to 120 calories extra. Therefore, exposing yourself on the cold fresh air, you burn extra calories as the body is more sensitive to lepton hormone.

  15. Avoid chips and dips

Deep-fried chips that comes with your favourite guacamole in a fancy Mexican restaurant will only make eat 645 calories more. As much as delicious and addictive are (for all of us) , close your eyes and pretend they do not exist.

  16. Eat mushrooms instead of meat

  John Hopkins University revealed on a study that people who replace meat with mushrooms have consumed 444 calories less, enjoyed their meal and felt the same fuller free guilt.

  17. Leave your cell phone while eating

  Except the fact that is rude to the person accompanies us, also watching your phone or just checking likes on your last instagram will make you not remember your meal, feeling not satiated, and end up most of the times tweaking before dinner.

  18. Chew a gum and drink more water

Volunteers of the Rhode Island that were chewing gym for 1 hour  in the morning, ''ate'' 67 calories at lunch time. Follow the same tactic in the afternoon, and you will double the calories that you will save within the day.
